Testimonials

Martin and The Grain Cleaners did an excellent job in removing barley from CWRS. In a couple passes he took the CWRS from 12% barley to 5 kernels/kg (common no.1 seed.)

Jason W

Martin came – self-contained - I had some red lentils that were high in damage and cereals. Martin was able to clean out a high majority of the damage and cereals and left me with a strong marketable product. Thanks Martin!"

Step 2 - Vibratory Pre-Clean & Screening

Our interchangeable screening table options separate heavy objects like dirt and debris from your grain to prepare the grain for our colour sorter.

Step 3 - Five Chute Colour Sorter

Our high-resolution, multi-camera optical colour sorter, capable of up to 500 bushels per hour, uses multi-cameras to identify undesirable elements that have been custom programmed . The air nozzle system then separates the grain to leave the "good stuff" behind.

Common Questions

Can I have my seed cleaned with The Grain Cleaners?

Yes, you can.

We recommended talking to our rep for more info.

What can I expect?

We bring the cleaner, you provide the trucks to feed the cleaner and take it away.

We recommend a minimum of 4 trucks, two for the clean grain, one for the screenings and one for the infeed.

The in feed auger and pre clean is all automated, so its best if there is a bit of “surge” ability there. If its coming out of a hopper bin, we can back up to the bin and pull directly out of there. If a hopper is not an option, a gravity wagon or something like that works well too.

What do I do with the screenings?

The screenings are the responsibility of the customer to manage.

Depending on quality, most screenings are a marketable product, with the exception of high ergot, heated, treated seed etc.

Ask the cleaning operator for info if you are looking for a market for the screenings!

How much room is needed for the rig?

The cleaning equipment is housed in a 53’ semitrailer, with the generator mounted on the highway tractor.

The overall length from the nose of the truck to the end of the infeed auger is 90’, with the total width, including the trucks that are needed to sit under the out feed augers, is 50’ wide.

What kind of mess do you leave behind?

We work hard to keep the site clean.

There will always be dust that gets left behind which we can’t do anything about but with the help of tarps, we work hard to contain any problem areas so clean up is easy!

Are you a certified organic cleaner?

If you are a certified organic grower and want your grain cleaned, we can do that!

You, as the certified grower would be responsible to review our equipment and make sure all required points are checked off on your "equipment checklist" as per your certification requirements.
